did thiss with my iphone 4 dident open it just used qtip and lightly wet it and put it in the ear phone jack and put a drop in the white tab on the dock slot lol worked took it to apple and told them phone got realy hot gave over heat warning and never turned on after that that said oke and got my new phone :P

IF anyone trys to open their iphone the way you did it, they will destroy the top cables that connect the screen to the logic board. This is not the proper way to open an iphone whoever help you at the apple store must not have been wearing his glasses...
