Occupy Wall Street protestors and Teamsters Local 814 supporters crash a University of Vermont alumni event with speech to Sotheby's CEO Bill Ruprecht (also board of trustee at UVM) on Wednesday, Dec 7, 2011.
For over 4 months now 43 Teamster art-handlers have been locked out of work at Sotheby's art auction house. Occupy Wall Street protestors have been supporting these Teamsters struggle against the multi-million dollar corporation and their effort to get rid of good, union jobs.

"We have offered them a very fair contract which includes wage increases in each year of the contract, increased contributions for health insurance premiums and continued participation in Sotheby’s 401K retirement plan," a Sotheby's spokeswoman had told DNAinfo.
"Unfortunately the union leadership insists on asking for increases in wages and benefits that would almost double the cost of their contract."

@Davis8800 I find him more convincing, frankly.

What a joke. This guy has no idea what he is talking about! The art handlers are locked out because they wanted a 60% pay increase while continually damaging art works, and more importantly refusing to negotiate. The replaced art handlers do their jobs in half the time without any damages since their time at Sotheby’s. Meanwhile the 'Teamsters' protests have lead to the arrest of over 13 people because they are so violent and a danger to others while attempting to support their ‘cause’
