The taekwondo (태권도; 跆拳道) demo team of Sirota's Alchymy demonstrates their martial arts skills at Richmond Cultural Centre during the Community Dance and Craft Day event on May 8, 2010. The event was part of Asian Heritage Month celebrations being held by the city every year in May. The Korean song "Superman" (노라조) is by Korean rock group Norazo (슈퍼맨). The rock group comprises of vocalist-cum-guitarist Lee Hyuk and vocalist and dancer Cho Bin and have been on the music scene since 2005. Combining catchy melodies with humor and dance performances, they have established a huge fan following not only in Korea, but also in Japan and other Asian countries. Taekwondo (태권도/ 跆拳道) is a Korean martial art and the national sport of South Korea. In Korean, tae (태, 跆) means "to strike or break with foot"; kwon (권, 拳) means "to strike or break with fist"; and do (도, 道) means "way," "method," or "art." Thus, taekwondo may be loosely translated as "the way of the foot and fist" or "the way of kicking and punching." Sirota's Alchymy is a martial arts and life skills centre that has been facilitating personal empowerment through their programs since 1992. The centre offers programs for children, youth, adults, families and individuals with special needs. For additional information on the centre, instructors and programs visit www.sirotasalchymy.com
