The activated throat chakra expresses itself through a strong ability to communication. It is not meant the superficial chats, but the ability to understand oneself and others, and to make oneself understandable with others.
An active throat chakra enables the person to listen. The person is fond of discussion and to talk about his feelings. People with a well-balanced throat chakra are very creative and open for inspirations.
In the throat chakra there is the centre of the communication and the creative self-expression, the self-determination and independence. Here we open up for fine-material dimensions, the messages of the internal voice and spiritual inspiration can conceive and get in contact with the inherent mind.
With a completely open throat chakra, feelings, thoughts and internal knowledge are openly expressed without fear. One is able to show weaknesses as well as strengths in situations. This Chakra also points out whether a person is able to accept what is offered to yourself.
If the throat chakra is not in harmony so the life and the feelings cannot be accepted to come up. Often this is compensated with mistrust. One looks at the world as a hostile place, one is careful and has negative expectations concerning what comes up to one. One expects rather hostility, power or humiliation and not love and food. Because one builds up a negative field of force around himself with these expectations, one also attracts negative experiences, according to the law "the same attracts the same".

@rubbe For me, being around crude persons hurt. They are everywhere in society. The more you awaken, the more pain at first, because the norm of humanity is asleep and suffering blindly, even as you once were. Then, as your chakras awaken, they must move against the grain of your own energy system, but also the energy being put out by careless, ignorant, and sometimes just downright vicious persons who have yet to understand the Iron Law of Karma. FEEL through the pain and it WILL pass.

My new years resolution is to never again close my throat chakra in fear of the consequences. For too long I have diminished my light to appease the naturally diminished light of others. No more. My throat chakra is forever open.
