Costa Rica: Playa Nosara Relaxation

Playa Nosara at Boca Nosara, Costa Rica 12.20.2006. Relaxing surf sounds. Ostional Wildlife Reserve starts at the river, and is an important Olive Ridley turtle nesting site. My house rental was built on a cliff, and had a flat roof at the time. I set my camera up on the roof and let it run. Glad I did.

It looks like a cool place to surf. I'm going with 2 friends to CR next June (beginning) and I wonder if this spot is the ideal one! We are looking for a calm place to surf, with no stress and no confusion... like this video. Is this the right place?

Playa Guiones is the surfing spot in Nosara. It's south of here. Nice & easy there most of the time. Playa Nosara is difficult to reach.

That's Playa Nosara, in front of the Ostional Wildlife Preserve, where the Nosara River meets the Pacific Ocean. You have to ford the river to get to it, so it's pretty quiet.

i have been in the same spot as you . we staid in that house to the left of where you were filming. and the surfing is kickass their!

Thanks, right now I am on Playa Guiones (not sure of spelling). It gets pretty busy right on the beach, but the surf is great. Gonna surf for the last 3 weeks of my holiday! YAY.
