Technically a lean man / woman can survive the passing over of the train. They have to flatten as far as possible also they need to hold the sleepers tight. But, it is their sheer fate which decides survivability. Being a Goods train, no issue, but if it is a passenger train! My comment may not work that much except in rare cases.

In US you would find many low floor cars, like container gondolas and double floor cars. Tose reach down VERY low.
