i dont think being from up north affects how you stand in terms of cultural awareness, id like to point out. my sister and i are both northeners and we pride ourselves on having open minds and being educated at the top universities in the country. if you notice you'll see that much of the uk's identity is as much shaped by northeners as it is southeners.
