  • 3/4" slip type PVC coupler glued to unit with a rubber stopper lubed with vaseline pressed into the open coupler end, lanyard tied to a hole in the edge of the canister and to a hole in the top edge of the stopper so if it blows you dont lose the stopper. Cost about 80 cents, gauranteed to let loose if flashback occurs and 3/4" internal is plenty to relieve pressure of ignition. Lowes carries rubber stoppers in the drawers over in the hardware area. You could even go 1" for more opening.

  • You may guarantee it, but I wouldnt. If you get a hard enough flashback, there is a possibility that it will go off like a pvc pipe bomb.

  • A glycerine filled pressure gage found at an industrial hose suuply can have a pressure releif valve included. Although once the rubber plug pops out the gage is no good unless you can somehow refill and plug it back up. Oh and your pressure releif valve looks like it might release pressure more quickly. The hole in the regulators is only about 1/8 round.

  • On one of sidyoung's flashback arrestor videos, he says in the comments that the hho gas burns at about mach 7. This valve is just over 1 and 3/4 inches. I cant remember the exact size. 1.84 or 1.82, I'll look that up.

  • great job, add a lite weight sprin and the retainers and pop it a bunch and see what happens, I would love to see that vid

  • I will test this thoroughly, and I have the perfect place to do so.

  • Thats weird. My videos load without any problem. For $2.50? I would like to see what you are talking about.

  • If the valve diameter is not big enough, then it would probably just blow up. I think I know what you are referring to. There is one on my compressor, but its very small.

  • I have one self resetting valve but cant get my comp to upload the video. it ask me to register with MyDeo / Neptune did any of U had the same thing happening to you.

    I've never post a video.

mine is tension adjustable and about $2.50 cost of construcion.

do I have to susbscribe to any of those two

  • oh yeah, I dont know if it will bleed off the pressure quick enough or not but My local Lowes here in northern california sells a pressure releif valve to be hooked up to an aircompressor. It lets off steam at about 115 psi.
