Telstra's current campaign, aimed at customers who have their own phone and want to get a plan without handset repayments, was launched in their Bourke Street Icon store with an interactive window.
As Australia's leading telecommunications company, Telstra wanted to get customers involved in the BYO campaign and bring the concept to life at store level, so engaged the help of boutique retail marketing agency, Retail Engine to develop an interactive window with a difference.
Customers who walked past the window were greeted with live video of themselves inside a large projected phone. When a flyer promoting the campaign was held up to the window, the offer was brought to life with 3D objects appearing to jump out of the flyer on screen.
Through the power of augmented reality, customers could move the flyer around in front of the screen and the 3D objects containing offer messages and video, followed the flyer in all directions.
