Chinese (Taoist) Traditions - Funeral Ritual

Taken at my grandfather's funeral in 2006. If anyone has any more information regarding this ritual, please do post it!

not sure if this is taoism, but at the hospital today a man next door had died. he was wrapped with white linen and there was a yellow sheet with red chinese inscriptions on it and in the background was a chanting song that repreated over and over again. It was quite beautiful and very touching.

Taoist priest can use firecracker in funeral proccession of your fatherI?why I this question to You,.Im sure You dont know the answer,if your country is singapore.If your country is China or taiwan You know this, China can use firecracker in funeral.

OMG, I never knew this ritual practice is known as Taoist? My father he is a shaman and that's all I know. When people ask what we are doing? We tell others that we are doing buddha thing, LoL. It is actually, TAOIST ritual. My people is Mien and known as the Yao people in China and Laos, Thailand, and Vietnam.

.... i also like to know.. my grandparents also had this kind of funeral . we had to stay up a lot..
