Taken at my grandfather's funeral in 2006. If anyone has any more information regarding this ritual, please do post it!

  • It's a little hard to give a detailed response because the video is a bit jerky but this is music accompanying a funerary ritual. I can't make out the banners or any of the words so it's hard to say more. Sorry.

  • @labitmu go fuck yourself la!

Stephen Mitchell's translation: (#4) "The Tao... I don't know who gave birth to it. It is older than God."

  • @memoplex

Can you explain what you mean in detail? I am interested.

  • @alexgomez83 this is a taoist ritual in a hakka funeral. Hakka ppl have the green dragon with 2 heads. The yellow cloth with red chinese words is actually called Wang3 Sheng1 Bei4. The numeric behind the hanyu pinyin is to let you know the pronounciation. The Yellow Cloth is actually used by Buddhist ppl.
