I took a college signing course when I was 6 or 7, but I'm trying to teach myself again now. I wish I knew someone who knew sign language too, so I could practice with them. It's hard to learn a language when you can't practice a conversation with someone, you know? Could you possibly do a "quiz" video? Like, "What's the sign for uncle?" then wait a few seconds and give the answer. There's no videos like that. It would be SO appreciated! Thank you for all your videos!

hey! These videos are amazing! Can you do another one, more focused to saying simple sentences like "i like red" or something like that, thx!
also, what do you use when you film your videos on youtube?

@singledrew What she's signing is actually called SEE (Signed Exact English), ESL (English Sign Language) does not exist. So basically, the difference between SEE and ASL is pretty huge.
The sentence structure for ASL is VERY different from SEE (which follows the english sentence structure). For example...
SEE: I will go to the store.
ASL: Store, I go, will.
Also, ASL represents concepts, not words.

@djkidmethod Yes! That would be brilliant!

I had a question. =) Out of the deaf or hard of hearing people you know, and obviously yourself, if someone was to sign to you that was still very beginner and messed up a lot of signs, would you be able to still understand them? I've noticed a lot of signs are very closely related and the slightest little mistake makes you say something completely different. I'm nervous to sign to other people because I don't want to say something stupid that makes no sense. lol

@TheKatieMakenna thanks, this does help!

@musiclover4698 Well, if you want to learn sentences you could write down the words in a notebook and write and/or draw how to sign the word. That's what I do and I look over it and memorize how to say the words. I also practice signing random sentences, it works very well for me. I hope this gives you some idea on how to practice your signing. ;D

Are all your videos in ESL? What is the biggest difference between ESL and ASL?
I'm just wondering, what is asl, bsl and esl? And does the "SL" part stand for sign language?

@21biteme21 ASL stand for American Sign Language. BSL stand for British Sign Language. ESL stand for English Sign Language. :)
