Campus Antiwar Network activists confront Senator Herb Kohl in his Washington office after being refused a meeting in Wisconsin. Senator Kohl says, "Those of us who voted to fund [the war] are voting to fund it in order to end the war."
You have been in college for eight years-- time to get a job. Once you enter the real world, you might start to understand how policy is complicated by politics and how it isn't always easy to get things done.
Why don't you get a job on Capitol Hill and pour this energy into something productive? Showcasing your ignorance and arrogance on YouTube isn't going to end the war.
How disgraceful to be that disrespectful to a U.S. senator. You should be ashamed of yourself.
Do you have an immediate and viable resolution for Syrian and North Korean Nuclear interests? Do you have a solution for Iran's consistent defiance and threat to Israel? Do you have a contingency plan to counter $200 a barrel sweet Crude? How do you plan on curbing US inflation when oil prices have a systemic impact on our economy all the way down to what we pay for a roll of toilet paper (Do you ever wonder who pays freight prices when Diesel fuel quadruples in price?) Please let us all know.
My questions are not an implication of support for US occupation of Iraq, Afghanistan, or anywhere else for that matter, but short sided thinking is partially what got us there, so I would like to find out if the individuals voicing the loudest opinions on pulling out of Iraq have injected any thought into contingency plans if withdraw destabilizes the middle east more so than it currently is. As much as I hate our oil dependence, what if Iran over runs Iraq and seizes control of Iraq reserves?
I don't care for Senator Kohl, nor do I care for the Iraq war, but I would like to ask a few questions.
1. What does a Senators personal wealth have to do with anything? This is a serious question, so I'm looking for a serious answer.
2. What do you believe an abrupt end to funding of military action in Iraq and Afghanistan would accomplish, and how would you deal with the inevitable negative results and backlash that pulling operations out of the middle east would result in.
Pussies like you are a total fucking disgrace. We need real men in this country who understand the value of an all-volunteer army and respect the democratic process by which we elect our commander-in-chief, not a bunch of spoiled college kids who have nothing better to do with their time than question our military commanders, who put their lives on the line every fucking day to make sure that YOU can go on living the pointless life of bitching and whining to which you are accustomed.
Dude your a waste of life! I've served in Iraq proudly and I stand be Herb Kohl.... Only if you knew what he has done for us!!!!!
