Great Video. Would you recommend Versamount instead of using straight rabbit skin glue as an adhesive.
As I understand it, you prepare linen on a stretcher with a mixture of rabbit glue and titanium white. Then you use a lead based paint primer to prime the linen. Can you recommend a brand so that I can look it up. Then after it is done, how would you mount a large format like the other video on a board? Keep up the videos, you did a great job helping me understand the process.
Thanks again,

you understand correct :) I use primer from Natural Pigments in CA, the guy is amazing and knows his stuff and it is inexpensive comparitivly. I can only mount on a board 36 in. by infinity because my heat press is 18 in deep. But there are larger presses you can use to do bigger pieces. Anything bigger than 36x48 I stretch due to weight. But all the smaller pieces are mounted for durability. Thx for watching I am making some more videos to be posted soon. :)

Versamount or BEV are much better than rabbit skin glue. Problem with RSG is that it is what you use to protect your linen from the primer. So if it is mounted and you have to take it off you risk destroying the foundation of RSG with the primer which in turn will make your painting fall off. It is kind of the same concept with varnishing your painting. You don't want to use a varnish that you have used throughout the painting process eg: damar medium in the paint then varnish w/ damar.
