**I am sorry that everyone believes that this song is performed so horribly. I just want to remind everyone that nobody is forcing you to watch this video, you can turn it off and go outside or something, and we weren't doing this song to copy Black Gospel choir. We were simply singing a song that we thought would be fun to do. Thanks.**

Here is the 2007 South Dakota Honor's Choir Women singing "Ride On, King Jesus" by Moses Hogan.

  • To say that this song is really good, but the men need to sing louder. I mean the sppranos and altos are surpassing them. It is lame T-T. OH god when the women hit that Bb oh god i was all like Yessss!!!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing other wise. ^-^

  • @scookie14 I'm sorry but this is an arrangement for the females. There are no men singing. Thanks for the comment though!

  • Why does everything have to be about race. Good gracious. I actually like the song even though the words aren't correct. Also you said it was learned and performed in a week. Did you guys ever perform it again. If so do you have that video? Even though I think it's fine! BRAVO!!

  • Performed once, this was the South Dakota Honors choir from 2007. We got together for a week, learned the music and had a performance at the end of the week.

  • I am African American, a soprano, and a choir teacher, and I thoroughly enjoyed your performance. It was very well done. The blend is lovely, I could hear all the parts, and excellent job at the end, sopranos! How can you expect cultural understanding if people do not get to experience the music of other ethnicities? I applaud the director for choosing the song, and applaud the choir for doing a good job.

  • I am black also and this is real singing!!! You don't always have to scrawl and holler every song for the LORD. The Lord here it all! As long as we give him all the Praise!!! GREAT SONG BY THE WAY!!!

  • little slower would be cool, but good for most part

  • it's not the best i've heard, but it's pretty dang good! i don't know why people would hate on this piece. you guys sound fine!!!

  • r u serious??? i LOVE this!!! i wuz practically raised in the choir, i definitely enjoyed this!

  • I'm also an African-American male. I think what you've done is laudible and I applaud you for being culturally open enough to take it on. Keep on, keeping on choir! Job well-done.

  • this was fantastic :DD but... why is everyone dressed as if they're going to prom?

  • I agree that there were balance problems through much of it. That being said, the tone was good, intonation was relatively quite good, expression was good... aside from the balance problems, this is a very good performance. And this is coming from a music teacher.

  • Then rendition was very good. They also blended very well. Careful with the B flats though... crunching it there. :D Other than that, the glissandos and slurs were on point!

  • I LOVE IT.... being a concert choir singer at heart this gives me great pleasure. I don't get a chance to sing like this now that I have graduated from school And Attending a Gospel church doesn't give many opportunities to sing this style of music. But I LOVED IT..

  • I enjoyed this video very much!

  • hallelujah! I Love This Song.
