Real music, we don't see this anymore...
An important message we can all understand without the profanity, hate and idiocy of what passes for modern music, but then, this kind of music requires actual talent...

Limelighters, Pete Seiger, Kingston Trio, Peter-Paul-& Mary, and Chad Mitchell trio. We don't see or hear this anymore. We need this kind of message/music today.

I believe this song was written by Paul Simon and it appears on his and Art Garfunkel's 1964 album WEDNESDAY MORNING 3 AM,which was their debut.

Besides the grand company performing it, there is still something special about this old Ed McCurdy tune. It has been covered so many times yet most still move you.

It's a real feat to sing a single melody in a group so well. Of course these guys did. :) Love it!

Notice how John Denver is holding back so as not to drown out everyone else. Admirable behavior given that he had long been a "big star" by this time...Class.

Once in a life time. This coming weekend I have the honor of reuniting myself with one of the most politically revelant folk singing groups of the 60's, The Chad Mitchell Trio with John Denver. I meet these gentlemen while in college and had the opportunity to sing and play with them after the concert. I kept in touch with a couple of them for a while but developed a life long friendship with John Denver. I will get to meet them again Labor Day weekend, and it is a dream come true. Carpe Dium
