Yep, sometimes real systems can be described in terms of a negative temperature on the Kelvin scale, but these systems are way out of equilibrium and undergo a (usually) rapid relaxation to a non-negative temperature. The negative temperature attributed to the initial state is merely a mathematical tool for describing the system out of equilibrium. In systems in equilibrium the temperature on the Kelvin scale is always equal or larger than zero though.

not really kelvin can go beyond 0k like anything it freezes quickly coz its unstable. and like the condensates something beyond 0k will actuatomatically destroyed by light thats coz it cools so quickly and its the only reason why the condensate hasnt been caught on camera

you cannot go beyond 0 kelvin. Hence its name, absolute zero.

u can go beyond its name is kelvin many people have kelvin as a name and they arent absolute zero u moron

whatabout celcius and farenheit its absolutezero too but u can go below it

he said nothing... but he gave me some papers with informations... so my theory of the condensate is: if we cool down our testmaterial, the atoms move only a little bit! so they agile like a gasm, but not like "hmm is it lighter or heavier tha air?"... they have no barricades then! they can move through other materials (they move between other atoms!)... thats why the liquid helium goes out of that can! hah... man -.- too much letters in this text!

LOLZ thanks dude but there is one thing i wanna say condensates dont have atoms its a new type of unstable atom even the type of molecule plasma has is sort of unknown(coz u know there is no way to analyze unstable stuff) condensates lokk like jelly so to speak but still it just proves that matter can go beyond 0k matter just doesnt get destroyed it forms a new type of matter cool eh?

ya really cool :) bit did you ever seen a condensate under an electronic microscope?? t think you dont^^ so how can you say that there are no atoms?...

actually dude even if u see an object under an electronic microscope u still will never be able to see its atoms LOLZ only like about its cells can be seen the whole "molecules and atoms thing" is a theroy ppl use to analyze and classify matter.

and to take the cake NOBODY in this whole world has seen plasma or condensates behind any type of microscope

light destroys condensates and real plasma is just too dangerous and too bright so there is no point it will just blind u LOLZ
