The video to Qntal's "Entre Moi Et Mon Amin". Check out their myspace (I help run it but it's official!). http://www.myspace.com/qntal

This song and video comes on the American release entitled Illuminate

Translation, thanks to alienman3290:

My love and I alone
In a wood near Bethune,
Played together Tuesday
All night there by the moon,
Until the night turned gray
And the lark arising, sang,
As if to say: "Lovers, away";
And he responded softly:

"So help me love,
The lark lies to us.
It isn't nearly day,
Sweet, noble heart."

Then he drew himself to me,
And I did not draw back;
Three times at least he kissed me,
And I returned them back;
Now that did not tire me.
Then how glad we should have been
Had that night lasted one hundred
But we would not need to say:

"So help me love,
The lark lies to us.
It isn't nearly day,
Sweet, noble heart."

  • so is she speaking french?

  • @divineon yes, it's just archaic french. so some of the words are different now in modern french, as time has passed since the original text was written.

  • What album is this version from?

  • illuminate

  • I just noticed that you have it in the description... the other video didn't.

    Thanks for the answer, though.

    *off to obtain Illuminate*

  • And part 2: Then he drew himself to me, And I did not draw back; Three times at least he kissed me, And I returned them back; Now that did not tire me. • Here's a translation I stole from somewhere. I had to split it up because of the character restriction: My love and I alone In a wood near Bethune, Played together Tuesday All night there by the moon, Until the night turned gray And the lark arising, sang, As if to say: "Lovers, away"; And he responded softly: "So help me love, The lark lies to us. It isn't nearly day, Sweet, noble heart."

  • I found two medieval composers, from the French city of Béthune.

    - Antoine Busnois (1433 - 1492)

    - Pierre de Manchicourt (1510 - 1564)

    => my wild guess, is that it could be from Busnois, as he was a very well known composer of both liturgical and profane music.

  • I can't find anything about the song on the internet. What are it's origins? Who wrote it originally? Whas it also called "entre moi et mon amin" or did it have another title? please, any information you could give me about the song would be great! :-)

  • porq tan hermosa cancion no tiene un subtitulo en español¿ porq ¿porq?

  • @divineon yes it's french from the Middleage, I'm french and I must read to understand but it's really hard as well.

  • @anettejoan It's a "fake ruin" theater in Sanspareil park in Germany.

  • @lolee777 @lolee777 : Looks like the "Sanspareil" park near Bayreuth, Bavaria.
