have you ever done a thru-hike on the east coast (AT)?? I am a student also, and I would like to do a thru-hike on the AT in 2012 of March.....i have been trying to figure cost also to do a thru hike there..... and then PCT......

I have a question: I was planning to do the hike this spring, however family issues came up and I am unable to leave until the end of May 25th. I would like to just start where I would have been had i started now at Mexico. Where do you suggest I start (furthest South Possible). Also, another option is for me to head South in June as I live in Canada right next to manning park. What is your opinion and where were you the end of may during your hike?Thanks!

I came with my gear already and no food packages and no motels on the way. Costs differs dramatically between hikers. I think I spent around 2k
