@spudster07 the carb is designed on my model to do just that. Great engine, sat in the garage for 33 years without running, started on third pull.

have the same canoe.. I can see no leaves on the trees and you all have warm jackets and fleeces... Please get some life jackets (boyancy aids) I did a capsize test on the explorer and the damned thing sinks up to it gunwales.. With an engine attached it would sink to the bottom in seconds if tipped over. I also took the supports out from front and rear seats and strapped 5 gallon square plastic cans under the seats.. At least you would have something to hang onto if she went over.

I have one of these but can not go faster than an idel for front end of canoe will not stay down even with cinderblocks up front.
