Holy smokes! I am a HUGE Cars fan, and I really like their sound. I generally prefer the produced, electronic style, but this is really good. Ocasek does an excellent job with just a guitar and a bass line.

enjoying this version much more than the album version. remove the overproduction and over instrumentation and the humanity is revealed. ric's voice to me always had a robotic quality that made his lyrics come across as ironic, but hearing this strips those overtones away, leaving the sincerity and emotion. thanks for posting.

I have always loved this song, and this acoustic version is so beautiful
I just saw The Cars in Boston. Ocasek has a beautiful voice, different from Benjamin Orr's voice. Still, my favorite band because they were different and had great diversity in their songs.
