This great country song is written by a very talented writer, Phil Nadeau. I had the privalage of working with Phil while I was living in Denver. We worked the final melody out as we recorded a working track then laid down this track about 45 minutes later all with his portable equipment in the living room of very good family friends of mine the Staveroskys (Hi Vincent, Danielle, Alexander, Jenna, Jer and MS. ALABAMA Teri:) love and miss you guys!) Not only is Mr. Phil Nadeau a very talented writer, he also makes custom handcrafted guitars. In addition to putting this song up which has been a real hit amongst truck drivers (and musicians or comedians that travel) I used clips from my trip to Portland while visiting my Dad in the hospital. He is doing much better and even laughing on the phone now. He has come a long way. So though this song reminds me of missing either a man I love or my children when on the road.. I am dedicating the video to my Dad. So he always knows we love him wherever we are when we can or cannot be there. thanks again for watching.

Phil is an old friend of mine, and he is extremely talented! I recorded a song of his back in 1988, glad to see he is still writing. I have one of his guitars too and I love it. You have a great voice!
