  • @C2dltCAP Dont say Air Cadets are un-professional ive seen many Drill teams who do real drill not monkey drill the best of all im an SIC grad if you know what that is with the AFMA

  • I wish there would be a harder course of military discipline. Long term manditory PT etc.; weight lifting and weapons training hand to hand. Airmen if properly trained and built up could get in the fight. Their mission is more technical; but in the heart of every airman is a soldier waiting to come out. We worship the ground the grunts walk on. More sweat on the training field less blood on the battle field its a good thing. Discipline. Hard training builds confidense and self respect.

  • i'm a bit biased as i am retired a Army vet.i always wanted to serve in the Army honor guard in DC.never got to with the fact i'm vertically challenged.(5'6") and ya gotta be at least 6'0".i always believed the Army Drill Team was the best. however, judging from the vids i watched of AF Drill Team,....well,...all i can say is damn these guys are good!reeeeeally good.

  • I love the USAF Honor Guard, I do Color Guard for Civil Air Patrol Wish we could get good gunmen like this! :D

  • @CommunistSpartan I agree completely

  • @BUTCHUSAF dang i'm 5'9" hahaa I have been looking into the Base Honor guard. I have to do my CDC's of course but I can't wait to start. #3 actually hit me hard cause you're very right on that. thanks for the advice. and it was very cool, and nice talking to you!

  • I have never seen this button before... But I saw a button on the video box that said "1911" and when pressed, it makes the video look like some old time thing with weird music...

  • @TalonsArmedDrill Well if you arent over 5'10 sorry you wont be in THE USAF Honor Guard. If you are on a base honor guard still very admirable. The tips I can give are these, 1 find out who the best is and learn from him, become his/her shadow. If you learn from the best you will be the best. 2 Stay away from the trouble makers, being in the USAF Honor Guard is lke being in college, lost of fun, but lots of bad temptation, stay away from it. 3 treat every job like it is your last

  • @BUTCHUSAF Thats pretty cool. Any tips you can provide?

  • @TalonsArmedDrill It is supposed to be, I was on Firing party first for 2 years. Once I was made a trainer on the element (which means you are on top) I decided to challenge myself and go to Drill Team. once you are on Drill team you extend your tour for another 2 years. It turned out to be three haha. I have heard of some people staying for 7 years. However those days are long gone. Now usually people stay for about 3-4 years.
