This is from a "five day weekend" of shooting back in March 2009. Locations were the Ramapo Reservation in Mahwah NJ, Harriman State Park in Rockland County New York and the Palisades Cliffs on the NY/NJ border. Here are some black and white infrared reflection shots taken at the Ramapo Reservation. They are taken by Scarlet Oak Pond, located just past the park entrance and the Ramapo River which runs along the east side of the Reservation. All sounds are from the locations with no post edit add-ons. Only major edits are for sequencing, fades and contrast. The latter is needed as infrared images on my modified Sony HDR-HC9 are a bit flat contrast wise. The IR filter for the Scarlet Oak Pond sequences and the "duck flyby" over the ramapo river was an X-Nite 1000B. The lower contrast scene of the Ramapo River at 3:30 was taken through a BW 092 filter. A polarizing filter was also used for some of the Scarlet Oak Pond shots to make the sky more black. A Silk tripod was used to steady the camcorder.
