seriously - anti-energy polices bankrupting America? How about we just conserve? it is 2011 and people drive cars that get less than 20 mpg - how is that even possible.

the oil industry is making a massive record breaking profit again this year and is enjoying government subsidies. There is nothing stopping the oil industry from reducing the price of oil except their own greed. I don't want the government interfering with the oil industry, so lets take away the subsidies.

BP is not responsible because there was "no moratorium" on shallow water drilling. The real truth is that there may not have been an actual, government-mandated moratorium of shallow water drilling, but there was definitely a defacto moratorium created by the government's unwillingness to issue drilling permits to shallow water operators. Employees of Seahawk who were let go were unable to get any money from BP because of this hair-splitting inaction by Obama's brilliant staffers in the BOEMRE

@sandy123746 OBAMA'S GOAL IS TO DESTROY AMERICA! NOW THERE'S CHANGE FOR YA!

Why isn't BP responsible for paying for this Companies losses? Or is that money just for "other" business' that were harmed by the spill? American companies go bankrupt while BP remains in business and we still buy oil off of them?! This whole thing is pathetic...just pathetic.

I loathe Obama . . almost everything out of his mouth has been a lie . . worst president ever

Oil prices are higher, we are more energy dependent, more people are out of their jobs, and best of all, now OUR taxes get to pay for their unemployment checks, food stamps and health care. A win-win for Obama!

Without businesses, there is no America. No America to tax, to leech off of, to take advantage of without giving back.
To even to most communist among us: leeches still need a host.

Now, for all of you people, who believed in Obama, hope and change - mark on your calenders, Nov 2, 2012, the day we the people , defeated the equivalent, or worse, a dictator, an enemy of the state, he and his minions shall be politically destroyed - we will take back our country, and help those who have suffered by the hand of this neferior bastard... Barrack Obama.
People condemn the oil companies and the oil business in general when the price of gasoline rises, but the blame lies with Obama and his complete disregard for the consequences of his actions. The original moritorium was illegal, the "permitorium" is a legal way to achieve the same result. Obama has capriciously ruined one business, and harmed many others. In an area already hard-hit by natural disaster the Obama government seems determined to punish the Gulf Coast yet again.

What a shame. Like in just about every other case of government regulation this kills jobs, companies and raises prices for no good reason. So now there is no drilling anywhere in the entire USA for oil? Just wait until gas is $10 a gallon or much higher People will suddenly see how important it is to have a supply of it. If you dilont like oil drilling then don't use oil!!! Its impossible!! Heat, cars, plastic, roads, trucks shipping goods. All depend on oil.
