So, let's say I have a film on an sd card or something that does work. Does the iPad read and play the video, or do u have to import it onto the Ipads internal storage first?

@zeoxzy You have to import it in order to view it. Until you do, all you get is a thumbnail image.

I FOUND THE SOLUTION!!! Upgrade to the 5 in 1 Connection Kit (the real one with the ports I'm going to mention): I got it yesterday & it has a USB mini port that I connected the power to & I connected the keyboard to the USB (regular). Now the keyboard works perfectly & the iPad charges... now I'm not limited to the iPads charge.

Oh & if that's not enough, it also has Video / Audio out (includes the composite cable)... & of course SD, SD mini...

@carlKanter07 I can confirm that the 5-in-1 kit with USBmini does solve this problem. I think razoredgecases is the only one selling them... the ones i saw on ebay were called 5-in-1 because it takes 4 kinds of memory cards + usb... in that case the razoredge one should be the 9-in-1
