Introduce yourself.

Okay, well I'm Dan "Danger Dan" if you will. I'm 21, I had a birthday last week. It was awesome. I play bass, I have my bass masters.

Can you do any accents?

I do, I mean I do have a little bit of an accent. I don't know. People could hear it like whenever I'm really loose; you'll hear it. Like whenever I'm just sitting around, but I do have a little bit of a southern twang, a southern twang in my voice.

Do you want to talk like that through the whole interview?

Do you want me to?

Yeah.

Okay, I will. I'll talk like this just for you, okay?

Okay.

Steven [Georgia]
What made you want to start a band?

Basically, all my life I grew up seeing my father (my dad) play in a band. I grew up going to see him playing all the time on the weekends and stuff; ever since I was born. He was pretty much my main influence all throughout life and he bought me my first guitar and let me listen to all those cool CDs like The Who and Jimmy Hendrix and The Police and all types of bands like that and that was a real big influence for me growing up. In the end, I was like, "Dad, you know, I want to be like you. I want to play music." And he's been very supportive and ever since then, you know I was like this is what I want to do. So, I have been very fortunate to have the family to back me and to allow me to chase my dreams of being a musician.

What is the exact date that "Avant Garde" EP will be released?

It will be released on July 7. We're gonna have a big CD release show and a tour kick off show here in Charleston at The Cave. I don't know when it's gonna be on itunes, but July 7 is the official date that you could order it from us or get it on tour, when we're on tour.

What can people expect from "Avant-Garde"?

They could expect 6 songs of pure awesomeness. It's a CD that is very wide in sound. It covers a lot of not say genres, but a lot of styles in music. People will really, really, really like it, they'll dig into it. There's all kinds of like there's pop-rock but there's also a little bit more darker-deeper stuff and there's a song on there it's deep its really cool; Tony killed that track on that.

What makes "Avant-Garde" different from "Dollars & Sense"?

I would say it's a more mature version of Friends For Hire and a new beginning for Friends For Hire. When we wrote it we had to make sure this is the way that we would want people to see us and portray us. Basically, it's just like a fresh start for us and a really intense way of getting out our new music. We're really proud of it and really happy about it. I think people will like it a lot.

Whose feet were on the cover of "Dollars & Sense"?

I have no idea. The guy that did our art design and CD art had that picture I guess. He was a good friend of ours. Aaron; Aaron something, His name was Aaron, I don't know. He was cool, but he hooked us up and found that and we thought it was a cool idea for the CD, so we just ran with it. Aaron [Whiney], Aaron [Whiney] is his name, he's really cool.

Nicollette
What's your favorite memory of being in the band?

Basically, playing shows and traveling. That's just my most awesome memory.

Probably, I would say going to Atlanta to play Atlantis music festival was really fun. We went down there and played this music festival. It was really cool, it was beneficial. It was a lot of fun, we got to stay at my house afterwards and all of our friends there hanging out with us and it was a lot of fun. So traveling is definitely the best memory that I could have, to date; going to different places and meeting new people. Tour, is the most fun.

ThaDoeBoy wants 2 know when will you guys be live on Stickam again, because he really misses you guys.

ThaDoeBoy, that's our dude. We like that guy, he's really cool. We're gonna be on Stickam, I don't know. I mean that's one of those things that we do just erratically, to keep fans updated and informed. We used to do that like every single night, now we've gone, real busy and we all have things to take care of, but Stickam is awesome. We love Stickam, we want to get on it as much as we can. So, it's pretty much whenever we have the time to get on, then that's when we'll get on. But tell ThaDoeBoy I said "what's up" that's my dude.

Kanisha Walker [AZ]

How is J-nasty?

I know Kanisha from Stickam too. J-nasty, I don't know who that is. Next question.

What it's like knowing that there's millions of fan girls dreaming to marry you?

I guess that's cool. That's cool to know. Maybe, maybe one day one of them are lucky enough to marry me, but they have to meet me first. I mean it feels cool, but I think that, you know, girls are most infatuated with the music besides the people. It's more like a, I don't know. They just want a bang out of us.
