Billy Thorpe, "1991" (6/14) - from "21st Century Man"

Side 2 of "Children of the Sun" was re-released in remixed and remastered form, but it omitted the first side of the original "Children of the Sun" album as it was not part of the COTS rock opera. This sub-par re-release more importantly completely omitted the ENTIRE second installment of the series, which was the complete "21st Century Man" album. What you are hearing now is part of that 2nd installment. The space trilogy should not be told without this important middle section.

Note that side one of the original "Children of the Sun" LP, the final track from "21st Century Man" (In My Room) and the final track from "Children of the Sun Revisited" (East of Eden's Gate) are not considered canon. Only thru liner notes from these releases can we determine which tracks are considered part of the space trilogy, and which are not.

I should also note that between releases of his rock opera, Billy also issued 2 other albums in the USA. These LP's, "Stimulation" and "East of Eden's Gate" are both fantastic musically, but are not related to the space trilogy in any way.

I was about 5 years old when my dad cranked this song on his loud ass stereo and when the nuclear bomb blows up at the beginning . yeah that used to scare the shit out of me hahaha .. Love this song and the special effects noises and synthesizer sounds created in it ... brings back some memories :)
