I'm not sure what those troughs in the floor are for? I suppose after they pour the concrete the troughs will provide drainage anytime the crew has to wash or clean a fire engine? My guess is the high ceiling will also allow them to work on ladders and other extension equipment once the firehouse is complete. Either way, this facility replaces a much older station that was in this Green Mountain neighborhood west of Denver.
