I saw him twice - opened for Queen on the Hot Space tour and opened for the Who in the Astrodome. Playing a stadium is hard for anyone - he was completely out of his element. At a time when bands were really stepping up their shows, BS still played like he was in a club. Great songwriter, but not a great performer. Plus I know the girls liked him, but he was kind of sissy on stage. He looked better in those on-stage videos when MTV first came out, but live he was unimpressive.

BS was my very first concert back in i think 83...all the girls were blown away until the drummer came out from behind drum kit...got behind Billy & started rubbing his package...we were soo confused rofl...not until years later did we find out he was gay...then it all made sense...so did a lot of his lyrics...I still love is music & would love to see him some around again...LOng LIve Billy Squier!!!

It is hard to believe that one video Rock Me Tonite on MTV was a career killer. I think he could of made a comeback if he really wanted to. Billy is a true rock star and he made a great contribution to rock and roll.

I find it funny that when the ego is cut from the mix everyone is in tune...right before his big jerkoff solo.....this band was way too good for him....good voice...MAJOR EGO.....

Billy is awesome! He ROCKED!!! Saw him twice in concert, awesome!! Where he fucked himself was the video for "Rock Me Tonight". Bad career advice. He lost his hard rock following when he threw that hunk of shit on the fire. Changed his persona and never got it back. Hated to see it happen to such a talented musician. I wish he'd tour today.

This guy really knew how to play guitar and write music. He was not a one-hit wonder and was truly underrated.
