    Negativo. Essas correntes "solidárias" já existiam na época em que o e-mail era a única forma de interação via internet. Algum spammer inventava uma história comovente para você encaminhar aos seus contatos (uma criança doente receberia $ por cada e-mail) e quando o spammer recebia o e-mail de volta, tinha em suas mãos uma lista de e-mails (as pessoas não sabiam como ocultar e-mail) que vendia p/ terceiros. A criancinha seguia doente, não recebia um centavo, mas o spammer se dava muito bem!
