Are you a battered woman? Take the test:

  • Ooops ... and one cup of milk (I use 1%)

  • Thanks for the recipe.. I'll have to omit the coconut because I'm highly allergic to it.

You may also want to peel your bananas, wrap the in plastic wrap, and freeze them. This is yet another way you can omit the ice (or at least some of it).

How many meals do you replace with your shakes?

  • You've at least remarried, I may never do that again.

I'm not sure how anyone could assume from your video that you don't care about battered women. I've watched both videos, in their entirety, and didn't get that from them at all.

Having been one who was abused, if I don't feel you were against me and my type, then you shouldn't worry what those who haven't experienced think.

That test doesn't prove anything what so ever, in my humble opinion.

  • Hello, take a look above! :-)

  • I did a YT search for shakes, and ended up with this modified recipe:

    1 bananna

    1 scoop diet shake mix

    a couple shakes of coconut

a couple shakes of uncooked quaker oatmeal

(when I have it -- some pineapple)

(sometimes a couple spoonfuls of vanilla yogurt)

1 cup or more crushed ice

(I also tried some strawberries, but didn't personally like it)

I use the food process setting first on all but the ice, then add the ice, and use the ice crush setting on the blender. Enjoy!

  • Thanks for your input Angel. I agree that there was emotional abuse in my first marriage, although I've had many years to think through my role. It took me 10 years to re-marry -- I was really worried about repeating the pattern.

For some reason, my video (especially on vloggerheads) was taken by people to mean that I don't care about battered women. It seemed like a simple argument because like you said it's all to easy to score as an abused women.

    About shake ...

  • Part II

Thank you for sharing your personal story. Do I feel you're a batterer? No. Do I think you were emotionally abused? Most definitely.

Statistics in this particular case can't possibly be accurate. They're more assumptions than they are facts.

What are the 'diet shakes', or could you direct me to your video that talks about them??

  • I took the test based on how I felt while married.

    My score was : 51

Definition of Score: The score on the Women's Experience with Battering Scale ranges from 10-60. A score of 20 or higher is a positive screening test for battering.

I didn't have to take the test to know that anyone would have defined my experience as severe battery.

I retook that test and answered how I felt a "normal wife" would feel. I scored a 21 that time. I feel that test yields a lot of false positives.
