Budgie are a Welsh rock band from Cardiff, South Glamorgan. They are widely considered as one of the first heavy metal bands and a seminal influence to many acts of that scene,[1] with fast, heavy rock (an influence on the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) and even such acts as Metallica) being played as early as 1971[2], preceding other influential bands such as Judas Priest.

This song is a whole ritual. The solos of guitar drag me to an espiral from up to downwards and the voice rescues me taking me out to a surface of one thousand colours. This voice got me crazy.

Gotta love the contrast of that fat opening riff and Burke's high pitch voice. This early Budgie really has a unique heavy groove to it.I actually like the fact that they're not that well known, it just makes your day to stumble onto awesome bands like this.

Budgie were kickass. They should have enjoyed more success. They are great fun to crank up in the car.

Budgie was a great band. I think they suffered from what sounded like badly produced albums and crappy management. Probably should have been much better known.

Picked up this LP in VG condition at a yard sale in Halifax N.S. for $ 1.00 there still out there keep looking.
