This is a simple N-Gauge train set that I placed on a wooden ring that fits around our Christmas tree. The ring is made of wood molding from a hardware store, cut into a roughly 12-sided shape. The ring is supported by small chains that are held to a U-clamp around the tree trunk. The chains end in S-hooks that fit in eyelets on the ring and hook over whatever metal the clamp has handy. It's adjusted and leveled by moving the S-hooks up or down the chains as needed.
Impressive idea from Newman

Nice! You seem to have it braced really well as I didn't see any swaying.

Good job, Aaron. I know you'd like to leave it on overnight, but it's a bit noisy for that. But a great backdrop to tearing xmas wrapping!
