Dissolution Chemically created colloidal dispersions using a solvent. Solvent examples are gelatin, gum arabic, agar-agar, dextrin, starch, soap, bentonite in water. The process usually involves soaking and heating. I think you use a solvent to protect and aid in the breakdown of the silver ions into colloids.
I just made a batch today, after about 2 hours of making silver solution i added my catalyst/solvent and put it on heat till a tint of yellow showed then turned heat off. now its gold.
