  • Duke Videos has a DVD called "In-Car Sportscar Experience" (google it), its got onboards from BPR 1996 (FIA GT predecessor) season, most of it is from McLaren F1 GTR but also Lotus Esprit V8 and Ferrari F40. Amazing stuff. Very good sound quality and from several camera angles, mostly from incar camera.

This is not spam, just wanted to say if someone is interested.

Check out how many times the Kamaz (Russian incredibly rugged and reliable trucks) have won the Paris-Dakar rally. I'll tell you. A record 10 times.

Sergei Korolev designed rockets in the 1930's but was imprisoned, when he was given free hands after Stalin's death he designed seriously big rockets.

What about the Lunochod remote controlled lunar rovers? The next remote controlled was the Mars Explorer in 1997, which drew a lot of influence from the former.

    Read a book or two.

  • @karvanenmato

What's this nonsense coming out of you?Gordon Murray NEVER intended the F1 to be raced at all! He just wanted it to be the ultimate roadcar.Unfortunately it was released in a time the early 90's recession was still felt so in order to boost sales they were forced to make the GTR racing version later to be converted to roadlegal

Zora Arkus-Duntov was the godfather of the Corvette and the smallblock V8,he was a Russian-jew born in Belgium.Does that make the Corvette a Russian car?

  • @karvanenmato

Murray first wanted Honda to make the engine, because at that time Honda dominated F1 with McLaren. Honda however backed down from this for unknown reasons, maybe because they didn't want to power a supercar other than of their own making. That's like asking them to design an engine for another motorcycle. It wouldn't work for them.

Listen up. Jaguar won LeMans in 1951 and 1953 just because they had discbrakes, when Ferrari still used drumbrakes. In 55-56-57 they won again.

  • @karvanenmato

If you're stupid enough to believe the engine is the only thing that makes a car then you're dumber than a bag of rocks.

And how you ANY idea how many British designed engines have won LeMans, F1 and IndyCar?

Copy what you moron? That engine was specifically designed by BMW for McLaren on Gordon Murray's request.

What did the russians copy during the cold war you retard? They did get first in space twice without copying anybody and invented a lot of innovative and rugged things

  • @MAXCDE27 YOU DON'T MAKE SENSE! The Veyron is horrible in corners, sure the veyron's better, but the McLaren gets the start and the finish because the power to weight ratio is much better, and it get around the corners with ease, the only thing that hunk of ugly metal called a veyron gets is top speed. you know it

  • "....in fifth gear" ? No sir, in top gear! :)
