This is a video of Sam Calagione describing the brewery's Festina Peche summer seasonal beer for the brewer's Quick Sip Clips feature on their website http://www.dogfish.com. Recorded on April 29, 2009 by Dogfish Head Craft Brewery in Milton, DE.
My 1st impression when I tried this beer was that it was over-priced and over-rated. Then....a few nights later i had a 2nd bottle of it, and it was like...WOW. The beer really impressed me and I too give it an A. I still don't like the price of $8.99 for a 4-pack, but this is a GREAT summer beer indeed.
I loved the hell out of this. Had it on draught at Pony Bar in NYC the other night. Very tart and refreshing, and as it warms produces a bready aftertaste. I could drink this all day.
This is a Great tart beer. Very drinkable, quaffable even. Would be a Great sesh brew .......... but only at home, since I haven't ever seen this at a bar or restaurant.
