Richard Davidson, PhD, speaks about his research on neuroplasticity, the ability of the brain to change its structure and function in response to experience. Based on Dr. Davidson's research with longstanding meditators from the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, he compares responses between the monks and non-practitioners. He also explores current research on happiness and shares his conclusion that our compassion for another human being can change their biology in an interaction.

  • Disappointing that the information he is presenting behind him on the screen is not included in the video recording, but other wise a great presentation. Thanks for sharing!

  • @yogijtl Thanks, and I agree with you about that. They should have shown whats going on with the slide show that he's pointing to. Thanks for the feedback.

  • The sound is great bhuridajanah.

  • @ChinChinotto The lecture was in 2007. Richard Davidson was born in 1951 which means he was 56 when this talk was given! He looks well for his age don't you think? He meditates too and I'm sure that helps with him staying so young looking.
