I walked down the empty hallways to where six lockers stood by themselves. There were three hallways of empty space between our lockers and the rest of the school's, thanks to my Edward's skill of getting his way.
I stopped at the corner, about to turn and reach my locker, when the distinct scent of Jasper and Alice reached me. Together their citrus and vanilla scents were one of the most obvious smells in my world, seeing as since I had lived with them for the past 5 or so years.
Surprisingly, Alice hadn't rushed to greet me yet. She always bugged me inbetween classes and after school. That could only mean one thing.
Alice was having a vision.
I peeked anxiously around the corner, trying to see if my assumption was right.
It was.
Alice was standing there with the familiar blank stare. Jasper's hands were on her shoulders, shaking her. That meant she had been spooked by whatever she was "seeing," besides the fact all her books were strewn across the floor--obviously dropped.
She finally brought her eyes to meet Jasper's concerned gaze. A mixture of worry, insecurity, and most of all fear, crossed her face. Jasper, who had taken his hands off her shoulders when she had snapped out of her vision, put his hands on her waist comfortingly. I knew this tiny action would calm her down, mostly due to the fact Jasper's powers worked best when he had some kind of physical contact.
