what the heck is a standard welsh corgi?
There are 2 AKC registered breeds that I know of: 1. Pembroke Welsh Corgi and 2. Cardigan Welsh Corgi
Cardis have tails whereas pems are born with little tails that breeders tend to have docked.

While Bandit is very adorable, he is not a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Pembroke Welsh Corgi's are born without tails. He is a Standard Welsh Corgi. Just thought I'd let you know.

@idiliabarahona They are still Pembroke Welsh Corgis if they have tails, you seem to be confused with the AKC breed standard for showing which requires a docked tail. However, this can be a 'natural dock' where they are born with the nubbin or it can be docked by a breeder/veterinarian after birth. Being born with the long tail doesn't make him any less of a Pemmie, it just means he doesn't conform to the AKC breed standard for *showing* as a Pemmie
