  • oliver reed is buried just up the road from me .who was the headless horse man ?

  • @ballygeale1 The Headless Horseman is obviously a fictional character but a hessian soldier who was decapitated by a cannon ball at the Battle of White Plains in the Revolutionary War is buried at that spot in the video. Washington Irving based the character on that soldier. The cemetery caretaker informed me that the Dutch cemetery agreed to bury him there as long as there was no headstone. That's why that spot has none.
