Glad you got the NATEC in there. When I saw the name of the vid I was SURE I had a round you didn't but you do! Cool stuff that NATEC was. I picked up like 25 boxes for $4 a piece a few years ago at a gunshop. They said no one was buying it and thats why it was priced so low. If it wasn't for the neck separations I bet they would have gotten a HUGE govt contract.

@wcropp1: It's just the pressure created by the new loads. Innovations in the quality of powder, strength of charge, etc.

@samuraiBSD Right--this can happen when using old guns and new ammunition, due to changes in ammo specs over the years--I was referring to recently manufactured guns. This is more of an age issue than a size issue though, right? The size of the projectile hasn't changed has it? Just the amount of pressure created by the new, hotter loads? Or does modern .30-06 use a larger projectile?

@wcropp1: I've heard of some damage happening in Garands that have >150gr bullets fired from them due to these generally being hotter loads than the M2 ball ammo they were designed for, thus bending the op rod. Other than that, I've never heard of any damage either.
