Ludovico Einaudi. Melodia Africana I - Played by Pianopod (New Age Piano)

This piece of music is from Ludovico Einauid's I Giorni CD. The music is apparently inspired by an old song from Mali that tells the story of a hippopotamus who lived near the meeting point of two rivers, and everyone in a nearby village grew to love. One day the hippopotamus was shot by a hunter. From that day the song is sung as a lament to the death of a king or great person, or a regret for the loss of a loved one.

That's a good performance, very much in the Einaudi style. The sound comes over well (I note you have a Kawai, like me) - but on my equipment there was a bit of distortion at peaks, so you may need to move your microphone away. The camera angle will be popular with viewers wanting to learn the piece by watching.
