  • Hardly garbage. there are other kinds of cramping, but dehydration and mineral depletion--especially magnesium--is a very common cause of cramping. And they are talking about endurance paddling not sprinting. For that matter, how can you say it's garbage and then say "sure it can cause cramping". Google this term: "guy who needs to knock other people's efforts to feel good about himself".

  • Garbage information. This lady does not know what she is talking about! The idea that dehydration and mineral depletion is the major cause of cramping is simply not true. Sure, it can cause cramping; however, if this is the case, then why do sprinters get cramps when they hardly lose any fluid????

Google this term "Neuromuscular fatigue and cramping".

  • 500mg of calcium and magnesium? I presumed the potassium was more important, however this may explain why even after taking a supplement (320mg chloride, 210mg sodium, 60mg potassium, 30mg calcium and 6mg magnesium) I still managed to get cramp at the end of my exercise!
