  • @rendlesham you completly miss the point of this song i grew up on classic rock and classical music i am a 90s child and cant stand the new so called "music" i will take my Stairway to Heaven while on the Highway to Hell. This song has more meaning than you tiny 21st century riddled brain can handle. its about the times we have that we want to last forever and go back and replay them in our heads over and over again. the new age music like rap and hip hop just cant move you like the classics can

  • @BaxorUpGreat

    You're right!

When I was at his concert in Amsterdam 2 weeks ago, before he played this song, STING told that he wrote the song because of the fields of gold he sees when he looks out of his own window.......

  • @kribaby76 - Mmmmm, No, this is written by Sting! No 15th century bard there... And why "still" it brings a tear to your eye - are you born in the 15th century or what? *just kidding*

  • @lollopisemis So did I :) Everywhere I found an information about this composition Sting was written as the only author of both music and lyrics. So Kribaby gave the wrong information. More over had it been written in the 15th century the language of the lyrics would have been more old English but "Fields of Gold" sounds quite modern :) I agree with you.

  • @BaxorUpGreat I made some research about it and I could only find that Sting wrote this song, so no idea where "15th century" came from but I say it's false until anything else is proven;)

  • @kribaby76 Are you sure this song wasn't written by Sting? Is it true that it was written by someone other? I can't belive that :) How would you proove that?

  • this song was written by a bard in the 15th century, still it brings a tear to my eye, and memories of my love to mind

  • bravo edo

  • @pba94 Hip hop has been around for several decades.
