i sort of like the fact that canadiens fans are tough on their team. it harkens to a relationship between family members or friends. you're not always super nice to your friends and family, are you? you act that way around strangers. sometimes, the closer you are to someone, the easier and subtly more intimate it is just to act like a jackass.

@ghostsintheforum Actually Maurice Richard got boo'ed by the anglophone community that couldn't accept that a french-man could perform. Maurice Richard was one of the most censored, in and off ice player because of the language he spoke and he kept speaking it even if the pressure of doing it was on his shoulders. I say thank you to many francophone that defended my first language like him.
