I love this tune. As a live performer I know that at times you get inspired differently with your own tunes to play them in a different way than most folks are used to (like the recordings you're used to). I love it that she has the passion and confidence to express herself through her music outside the "recorded version" box. Joni -- much love and respect! To everyone reading, please support live, original, independent acoustic music by attending local shows & buying CDs. We love ya!

Joni doesn't pick the people who perform at these tributes for her. I was just looking at the list for the upcoming Luminato tribute and I haven't heard of half of them. Both of you sound like you're 12 years old. Who uses the phrase "this person" when referring to Joni Mitchell? People who don't know a damn thing about her. Joni is jealous of kd lang blah, blah, blah ... go sit at the kiddie's table. Leave the intelligent debate for people actually capable of it.

Agree perfectly with what you say, but music has to keep on changing. The time will come when the artistic integrity that is in the music of the 60's and the 70's return. But you are right, it will never be in the same. To a deeper context though, music is hard to pin down because it is both an art form and an entertainment. Nowadays artistry in music doesn't sell anymore but entertainment does breeding musicians such as Justin Bieber and such. Just keep your mind open though for new music.

It makes me feel sad to see time has moved on and this great music is gone. There is nothing in todays music to fill the void. It has all been destroyed by money, profit and greed. At least I have the memories and I`m thankful for that.I still think it all started with Madonna and the start of MTV. It`s easy to see the contrast. The innocence and talent of Joni Mitchell compaired to the sleeze and packaging of Madonna and "Like A Virgin".Yes, that was the beginning of the end.
