  • to the idiot mother f that says that dee dee was a music iliterate, have you ever compouse a song like: Blitzkrieg Bop, I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend, Sheena Is a Punk Rocker, Rockaway Beach, Needles and Pins i can go on stupid imbecil

  • Right on. Classical snobs look down on rock. They believe complexity = greatness. NO. Writing songs that connect with real people = greatness. The kind of genius song-writing talent Dee Dee had... one can ONLY be born with. It can never be taught, no matter how many years you attend some creepy music conservatory.

  • What on earth was the great Philip Glass doing wasting his time and demeaning himself with a musical illiterate like Dee Dee Ramone?.

  • Philip Glass rocks.

  • IMO the fact that DeeDee recognized hip-hop for what it was (namely, the future, and not just a passing fad) and wanted to be a part of it says WAY more about him than the actual product of that recognition (which he admits wasn't great by any standards). Hip-hop, in its own way, did exactly what punk did; breathed new life into popular music and gave a voice to folks who no one else was speaking for

  • @MikeJohnsonguitarist and you're such an important guitarist that no-one's heard of your stupid name.

  • @MikeJohnsonguitarist you silly twat! JFK Jr. drove a hyundai - get a clue

  • @MikeJohnsonguitarist - When you write ONE song that can match the power, intensity, and wallop of any Ramones tune, THEN we'll take you seriously....

  • @BetoAcapulco i no that comment is 3 years ago but dee dee certainly didnt write needles and pins
