Illegal Immigration Ad - Conservative Party of Canada - 2011 Election Campaign

Here is a 2011 Conservative Party of Canada campaign ad that has only been broadcast in Quebec and in French. It insinuates that illegal immigrants escaping persecution, war and deplorable conditions in their own countries are somehow taking advantage of Canadian kindness and generosity. It also reveals a troubling xenophobic and paranoid undercurrent to the Conservative campaign. Here's the ad they didn't feel the rest of Canada should see. Might it be because they didn't want to alienate their large immigrant voting base in the rest of the nation?

We deserve better. We deserve a government that doesn't simply resort to attack ads and narrow-minded policies.

@Staffisfaction - Do you honestly think that taking in masses of Third World immigrants is a good thing? Too may of them have no desire to integrate, often do not learn English or French, and prefer to live among their own kind in ever-growing Ghettos. I'm American, just to be completely transparent. We are going through this same thing now. Fear mongering is a petri dish for hate. However, there is a difference between legal and illegal immigration. If you want to be a nation of law, you must support the law. Otherwise, what is the point? Having completely open borders is an insane idea. The point is, somehow North American nations need to find a way to allow for labor migration while retaining cultural soveriegnty. That is practical.

I think the BIGGEST culprit here is the Bank Of Canada + credit companies with their insane interest rates. They've sucked Canadians dry of their hard earned money,stressed the family unit whereas many are decaying rapidly over unpaid bills,loans & mortgage payments,NOW they want immigrants to fill that void,sending jobs over sea's and they wont stop till their is NOTHING LEFT for Canadians.

Too much Afrocentric rubbish is being accepted as fact. Even Chinese anthropologists do not believe that they had African ancestry.
