  • What are people using these American speedsters for? Are they a cheap replacement for a golf cart?

  • @Hamish121212 This one was made for a lady who is experiencing the onset of Alzheimer. She has always been very active and liked to ride a bicycle. With this her daughter who is in charge of her care can ride along and steer the bike and they can spend quality time with each other at the same time getting a good form of excersize.

  • Hi Buddy I love your car, do you think is possible to scann the instructions and share with me? It's really cool and I would like to build one for me and my kids

my email is: eluevano2001@yahoo.com.mx best regards

  • @elpadillae I'm not sure I can legally just send you the plans if you didn't buy the kit from American Speedster. I will have to check first. Also my main printer (which had the scanner) was taken out by a thunderstorm a while back so I would have to find a place to get it scanned in. That's not a big problem though as long as A.S. doesn't mind me sending out a copy. Keep in mind though that they actually sell these plans and might not want them just given out.

    Thanks for watching,

    Roy

Hi Roy I understand and you right if they sell the plans is not correct so I will search in the web the American Speedster business and try to get the plans since I live in Mexico and not sure they can send the kit to Mexico, thank you for your kind response boddy.

  • @elpadillae I hope you can get the kits there. You want at least the "bike parts kit" unless you are pretty handy at metal working. The website is americanspeedster com if you didn't find it.

  • thats going to break!

  • @CornfieldCraziness ...hang "onto" the dash...

  • Actually on our trial ride it seemed hard to pedal however we didn't have seats and were balanced on a board and also had to hang out the dash to keep from falling backwards. I think once the seats are on they are easy to pedal. This one that we are making now are for a couple ladies that had tried one out in Florida and they thought it pedaled ok. Also it's a 6 speed rear derailer so that gives it a nice speed range.

  • I'm thinking about building one of these. How easy/difficult is it to pedal?
